Between November 1989 and April 1990, large-scale unidentified flying object reports occurred over Belgium.
Key Event: F-16 Interception
In the early hours of March 30-31, 1990, the Belgian Air Force ordered two F-16 fighter jets to intercept. The jets’ radar successfully locked onto the target, recording:

- Flight Mode: Capable of stationary hovering and instant acceleration
Scientific Investigation
The Belgian Air Force and the National Fund for Scientific Research (FNRS) formed the “Belgian UFO Investigation Group” (SOBEPS), one of the few government-led scientific investigations into UFOs.
Historical Significance
The Belgian UFO wave is one of the few cases with military radar records, fighter jet lock-ons, and a large number of witnesses. It is regarded by the research community as one of the most compelling pieces of evidence in the UFO phenomenon.
