On the evening of December 29, 1980, Betty Cash, Vickie Landrum, and her grandson Colby Landrum were driving through a forest in Texas when they saw a huge, diamond-shaped luminous object hovering above the road. The object emitted extremely intense heat, causing a burning sensation to those inside the car.

Aftermath

• The three suffered severe nausea and vomiting
• Skin showed burn marks (resembling sunburn but more severe)
• Significant hair loss
• Long-term health issues (chronic fatigue, weakened immune system)

Military Helicopters

Witnesses also reported that multiple CH-47 Chinook heavy-lift helicopters were surrounding the UFO. They suspected the military was recovering or testing some kind of secret aircraft.

Legal Proceedings

Betty Cash and the Landrum family later sued the U.S. government, seeking $217,000 in compensation. However, the court ultimately dismissed the lawsuit, citing “national security.”
