In 1969, a huge mysterious glowing sphere appeared over Fukuoka, Japan, hovering in the night sky and illuminating the entire city. The Japan Air Self-Defense Force scrambled fighter jets to investigate, but as they approached, the object immediately sped away at high velocity, and the jets could not track it.

The Japan Defense Agency (now the Ministry of Defense) acknowledged in an internal report that it was “unidentifiable.” This incident is one of the most famous UFO cases in modern Japanese history and one of the few UAP events in Asia with official military records.
