🛸 尼米茲航母戰鬥群UFO事件 — 五角大樓承認嘅真實案例 (2004)

📍 Case Focus: Pacific Ocean, USS Nimitz Carrier Strike Group, U.S. Navy 📅 Date of Incident: November 14, 2004 🔍 Classification: Military Encounter / Radar + Visual + Infrared Triple Confirmation

Incident Overview

On November 14, 2004, during routine training exercises off the coast of California in the Pacific Ocean, the U.S. Navy nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz and its strike group encountered an inexplicable unidentified flying object.

This incident later caused a global sensation when the Pentagon released three UAP videos (FLIR1, GIMBAL, GOFAST) in 2017. It is one of the few UAP events to receive official military confirmation.

Key Witness Testimonies

Commander David Fravor

Then commander of the F/A-18F Super Hornet squadron, leading the flight mission at the time:

  • Sighted a white Tic-Tac-shaped object approximately 40 feet long
  • The object had no wings, no engine, and no exhaust
  • When he attempted to approach, the object immediately mimicked his movements
  • The object ultimately vanished instantly at an incredible speed

Commander Chad Underwood

Another pilot successfully recorded the object’s image using the aircraft’s FLIR (Forward-Looking Infrared) system:

  • The recorded footage became the publicly released “FLIR1” (also known as the “Tic Tac” video)
  • The object showed no heat signature emissions, unlike any known propulsion system

Radar Operators

The carrier’s SPY-1 Aegis radar system continuously tracked the object, confirming it could instantly descend from an altitude of 80,000 feet to sea level, then rapidly climb back to high altitude.

Object Capabilities

  • Instantaneous Acceleration: From stationary to supersonic speed with no transition time
  • Transmedium Flight: Could freely maneuver between air and water
  • Extreme Maneuverability: Executed movements beyond the physical limits of human aircraft
  • No Thermal Signature: Infrared detection could not pick up engine heat
  • Electromagnetic Interference: Affected radar and communication systems when approached

Official Acknowledgment

In 2017, The New York Times first reported that the U.S. Department of Defense had a classified UAP investigation program called the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), and released three videos. In 2020, the Pentagon formally established the UAP Task Force (UAPTF), which was reorganized in 2022 into AARO (All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office).

Significance of the Case

The Nimitz incident is a watershed moment in UFO research:

  1. Proved the real existence of the UAP phenomenon
  2. Shifted the military from denial to open investigation
  3. Sparked global scientific interest in UAP
  4. Led to the establishment of an official U.S. government UAP investigation agency
